The pot plants are doing reasonably well, although with some lessons to pay attention to next year. First the strawberry pot...
This (above) was taken on the 25th of May.
This one was taken on the 29th of June. It's started to have strawberries (although none are ripe) and has sent some shoots off the side. I'm tossing up whether to try and put the shoots in other pots, or put this pot on a pedestal and just let the strawberry plant hang over the side. I welcome suggestions.
Outside the kitchen we have some other herbs:
The above was taken on the 25th of May, and the basil and mint are doing great. The strawberry plant (far left) is going slow, and the celery doesn't look like celery.
This is the garden today, 29th of June. The basil is still doing fine, but had fallen over for some reason...possibly it's roots haven't gone as deeply into the soil as I thought. The mint is still doing OK, but sending out feelers over the side rather than growing up. The celery is dead -- we suspect because we let it flower. The strawberry is growing well, but not nearly as vigorously as the one in the big pot. It does have a couple of ripe strawberries though, so I suspect it's not altogether comfortable where it is and is starting the fruiting process rather than continue growing.
